Arctic Grayling that was just caught.

Arctic Grayling Strategy and Tips

Strategy: Grayling prefer cold moving water and feed on whatever the current washes down to them.  Cast a fly near large boulders, slack water or current brakes.  River inlets entering into a lake also make for excellent fishing.  In these areas try spinners, flies, and small spoons.

Tip: A sharp hook is essential for a good solid hookset, whereas a dull hook will simply slide out of the fish’s mouth.  Although the hooks in your tackle box may look sharp, chances are they are not.  Do not let the trophy of a lifetime slide off your hook.  Get a good hook sharpener and become proficient with it.
